Methodology and sources
- Prices come only from official provider pricing pages and docs, or official app-store listings (for example the Canadian Apple App Store for CAD).
- We never convert currencies. If no official CAD price exists, the cell is blank.
- If a price can't be verified on an official page, it's marked unverified. We don't guess.
- Every table row links to its source and shows the date we last checked it. Latest check: .
- "Annual per month" CAD values are an official annual price divided by 12.
- Affiliate links, if we add any, will always be disclosed and never change the order of the rankings.
"Best value" tags: the rules
We never call a plan "best value" based on opinion. Tags are applied automatically from the data, using only these rules:
- Cheapest paid (plan tables): in each table, for each provider, the paid plan with the lowest monthly price in that table's currency (USD tables use the USD monthly price; CAD tables use the official CAD monthly price). Free plans and plans with no verified price are never tagged. It means cheapest, not best.
- Lowest cost (model rankings, price-performance): the model with the lowest LiveBench 2.0 "cost per successful task" among the rows we show (models with a LiveBench overall score of at least 70). It isn't combined with any other score.
Tables can be sorted by clicking a column header (if JavaScript is on); the default order is the source data's order.
